Submission Deadline: November 15, 2026
Recent advances in 3D printing technologies have revolutionized the design and fabrication of biomedical devices. This Special Issue aims to highlight cutting-edge developments in 3D-printed devices for advanced biomedical applications, with a focus on innovations that can enhance the precision, personalization, and clinical performance.
We invite original research articles, reviews, and perspectives covering a broad range of topics, including but not limited to: 3D-printed drug delivery systems; 3D-printed implantable and wearable medical devices; 3D-printed tissue engineering scaffolds; 3D-printed organ-on-chip platforms; 3D-printed biosensors; and 3D-printed surgical instruments. Contributions exploring novel biomaterials, multi-material and multi-scale printing techniques, stimuli-responsive systems, and integration with biosensors or electronics are particularly encouraged. Submissions that can address key challenges such as scalability, reproducibility, regulatory considerations, and clinical translation are also welcome. Also, interdisciplinary studies that bridge materials science, biofabrication, biomedical engineering, and translational medicine are highly encouraged.
By bringing together diverse perspectives, this Special Issue aims to support the translation of 3D-printed innovations from laboratory research to real-world healthcare applications. We look forward to your contributions.
